Jack's Comments: Semillon is a wine variety that does not get as much attention as some of the other white varieties. It is a shame as they have alot to offer. This is a fresh zippy clean and well balanced wine. It has an abundance of lemon and honey flavours well balanced out with a medium dry finish. It has plenty of flavour and overall is a really good white wine.
Winemaker's Comments: A unique Semillon style – unoaked, lively, zesty, refreshing and crisp with plenty of fruit flavour and great length – pioneered by Peter Lehmann and enormously successful. So much so that it is Australia’s most popular Semillon!
Delightful pale yellow with green tints. On the nose it has fresh aromas of lemon flower, a touch of honey and undertones of bees wax. The palate is very clean with bright lemon/citrus flavours, and shows an attractive creamy soft mouth feel.
Semillon is the “Must Have” wine in the fridge! A delicious aperitif, and is a perfect accompaniment to smoked salmon, fresh asparagus, Caesar Salad, creamy soups and pasta dishes.
