They always produce great quality wines. This Shiraz comes from the cool climate region of the Eden Valley which has the ideal conditions for producing an elegant red. The Hilltops is a delicate wine with lovely ripe fruit flavours of plum and dark berries and I get slight hints of sweet cherry. The tannins are fine and delicate that arrive on the end of the palate to make for a medium bodied wine with good length at the end. This wine will impress! Winemaker's Comments: Doctors Point Hilltops Shiraz's palate is full with sweet fruit flavours or ripe mulberries, spicy blackberries and ripe plums, which combine with fine tannins to provide good depth of flavour and length. This wine will continue to improve for five to eight years if stored under optimum conditions. Blend: Shiraz 13.5% ALC Region: Eden Valley Cellaring Potential: Drinks well now, could cellar for 4-6 years.
