Jack's Comments: I taste a fair aount of wines each week and I have to say that when this arrived it was an absolute pleasure to taste. It was stunning. I have noticed that the 2008 vintage from Coonawarra is a real standout. This Cabernet has lovely amounts of dark fruit that stick to the sides of the palate and make them water. It is delicate and smooth with an excellent structure of tannins. Overall the wine is showing how good Coonawarra is and is a stunning example of a great Australian Cabernet Sauvignon.

Winemaker's Comments: The quintessential Cabernet Sauvignon nose displays ripe raspberry and black fruit aromas, together with an abundance of dark chocolate and notes of soft ripe cherries. The raspberry and chocolate aromas are once again apparent in the mouth with a subtle herbal infusion. The palate is finely
structured and well integrated with classic Coonawarra dusty tannins matching the dashing fruitiness and spiciness. The acid line is very well balanced with a plump mid-palate and will complement any food style.
The soft, supple structure of this wine makes it the perfect accompaniment to yum cha or any impromptu Mediterranean casual dining.
