Jack's Comments: Shinas Estate The Guilty Shiraz was so recommended by some of my wine friends that I has no option to buy and sell this cracking wine.
Winemaker's Comments: Shinas Estate The Guilty Shiraz is ripe shiny blackberry red. Voluptuous cherry, vanilla and peppery spice aromas and full-bodied flavours packed with smoky vanillin oak, cherry and strawberry fruits, chocolate and mocha all wrapped up in a big, rich, velvety smooth package. Shinas The Guilty shiraz is juicy wine with fine tannins, the pepper detected on the nose kicks in again to make a welcome re-appearance on the powerful finish. Made from low yielding old vines dating back to 1898 and aged in older French oak, the fruit is sourced from Mildura on the north west Victorian border.
Blend: Shiraz 15.8% alc.vol.
Region: Shinas Estate is based on the outskirts of Mildura, Victoria on the majestic Murray river
Cellaring Potential: Will reward with 3-4 years in the cellar

We opened "The Guilty" and poured ourselves a good measure. Sat back after a hard days work and took a good swig. After a few seconds we looked at each other, smiled, and quickly ordered a case. Damn good shiraz, and very smooth. We gave it a 9 only because are always seeking somethig better. (a good excuse huh?)
