Winemaker's Comments: Deep purple with ruby hues. With spicy notes of anise and cloves combined with plenty of fresh berry fruits, particularly blueberries and mulberries, the nose is fruit focused and primary, with only the subtlest use of oak evident. PALATE Intense fleshy red berries and plums fill the palate, with persistent fruit flavours being complemented by a refreshing natural acidity and fine cedary tannins. Blend: Shiraz (45%), Cabernet Sauvignon (40%), Petit Verdot (15%). Not complicated, existing exhuberant, easy drinking, everyday red. I think the best Scrubby Rise red yet.
