Absolute peach of a wine. I am not really that keen on a sparkling red but this was really very impressive! It has beautiful rich flavours of dark berries and plum with a slight touch of sweetness to take the edge of it. It rolls along the palate to display some elegant hints of chocolate and well integrated oak from the shiraz that give a perfect lingering finish in the mouth. The Blue Pyrenees Sparkling Shiraz is a perfect red sparkling. Winemaker's Comments: Bright ruby red with young purple hues. The nose of the Blue Pyrenees Sparkling Shiraz is powerful and complex with ripe spicy plum like fruit, vanillan oak and the chocolate aroma of mature tannins. The flavours generally follow on from the aromas with dark plum upfront fruit, followed by a rich sweet vanillan mid palate and then the soft lingering spiced chocolate tannins that sparkling Shiraz is becoming renowned for.
