Would beat most sub $20 shiraz in my experienceBy: Steve W on 25 July 2013I purchased this wine in the gossips mixed dozen and like the other wines its good value for the price. This wine is from Warburn estate winery who also do the Aspen estate label, and while I quite like the Aspen shiraz this has a bit more of a rounded taste with the nice fruit and wood of the Aspen but a bit of spice as well which I think makes it a slightly better wine. Nice to drink on own or with food, and certainly great value for the price, would beat most sub $20 shiraz in my experience.
A fruity tang, easy on the paletteBy: Sally P on 5 October 2014A fruity tang, easy on the palette - very quaffable!
I really enjoy this wine after a hard day's workBy: Ruth on 15 July 2014I am on a limited budget but still like a drop of red! So I ordered a case of this wine as it was on special. Not being a connoisseur, but knowing what I like, I really enjoy this wine after a hard day's work when the kids have been sorted out and I at last have a few moments to myself. Thanks for helping me to relax and unwind!
Talk about turning water into wine!By: Philippa S on 28 January 2011Talk about turning water into wine! This is exceptional value and great tasting at a very small price.
It is a hidden gemBy: Peter M on 2 February 2013I will be honest, I bought this wine because it was cheap. I now believe I would have paid a lot more for it, as it is a hidden gem! This is one of the most enjoyable wines I have experienced and it is only $49 a case at the moment, WOW! Fruity, yet not overly so, this is an easy drinking wine that I would be happy to serve to my friends on any occasion. However this is a "lighter" style Shiraz and therefore does not have the peppery, spicy flavours of some of the more "meaty" Shiraz' out there. In short, it is simply a great wine to drink now and now and now, it's a hard one to put down.As for cellaring, well I dont think this one will develop too much, its simply not that complex, but try it I will, you never know what may happen.
