What Jack's Wine is saying:
This sparkling wine was made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. I found that a little weird because of the fact the Oyster Bay is known for its Sauvignon Blanc. I must say they have done a great job with there first attempt at a sparkling. It is very elegant with lovely dry creamy flavours with excellent lively bubbles that make it s very refreshing drink. I can see this will become very popular.
What the Winemaker's are saying:
Oyster bays wines capture the special character of New Zealand's cool climate viticulture... elegant, assertive wines with glorious fruit flavours. "Elegant cool climate varietal intensity - radiant lime, citrus and white peach, accentuated by a finely bubbled palate with a crisp, refreshing finiah". - Michael Ivicevich (Chief Winemaker) 12% Alc/Vol
