History: The famous sparkling wines of the Champagne region north of Paris France. A dry white sparkling wine that was originally produced in the Champagne region of France, but is now produced in other wine producing regions. It is known as a sparkling wine because of its natural carbonation. Those sparkling wines that are referred to as “true” champagne come only from France’s Champagne region.

Cellaring: Champagne wines can be stored for several years. However, this is not always necessary as they have been aged already in the cellars.
